It is a mixture of seasoned lime putty applied on bare old concrete or on crushed pottery plus lime coat: different support makes different colour-base. Coated several times with steel trowel it gets smooth and is final result is a mid-glossy egg shell effect. Lime transparency with natural pigments gives colours a surprising depth. When decorated this finish offers the typical aspect of ancient frescos.
